Wussup, son?
I don’t know why I named this “Word up, son!” I was wondering what I should call this because “Orlando’s Blog” is unimaginative and boring, then for some reason the silly faux-gangsta phrase came to mind.
The name is Orlando de Frias. I’m a 24 year old primarily doing software work for companies in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. I like working with XHTML/CSS, so I’ll throw in tips and snippets often to help out anyone who may need a nudge in the right direction when it comes to standards-aware web development.
I started this blog for a couple of reasons:
- I like to rant. A lot.
- I used to blog about nonsense on MySpace and people seemed to like it, so I figure I’ll do it here instead.
- I’ve had this domain name for, like, 2 years now and haven’t put it to any use. This needs to change.
- I want people to recognize me in the street and yell some kind of catchphrase that I made popular through this site. Over time it will grow to obscene popularity where I become some sort of neo-blog celebrity and I can’t even enjoy a damn meal at a restaurant without some prick coming up to me telling me he’s such a big fan. WHY WON’T YOU PEOPLE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE.
- The goal is to have my grandmother read this. Not just read it, but have discovered it all on her own.
So there you have it. I’ve opened myself up to you.
